Great savings on flights

As a first-time user, I was really looking for the best deal on my flight from Manila to Boracay. I checked a few sites, but 12Go had a small discount that made it the cheapest option for my dates. The booking process was straightforward, and I received my e-ticket within a few hours. It felt good to save a few dollars, and the transfer was totally seamless. Definitely worth checking them out if you're on a budget like me. I'm happy with my purchase.

Easy train ticket booking

Booked a Bangkok to Chiang Mai train ticket. Process was quick. Got my e-ticket fast. No issues at all, everything went smoothly. Recommended for busy travelers.

Shinkansen tickets were a breeze!

I needed Shinkansen tickets for my trip in Japan and 12Go made it incredibly simple! I was worried about navigating the Japanese railway system, but their site was so easy to use. I picked my seats and got my tickets delivered quickly. It saved me so much hassle and stress at the station. I'll absolutely use them again for future travel plans!

Good value, minor booking snag

I used 12Go for a ferry and bus combo to Koh Samui. The price was competitive, and the connection worked out well once I got there. The initial booking confirmation took about 24 hours, which felt a bit long when planning a tight schedule. Customer service responded to my inquiry promptly though, explaining the delay. Overall, it was a good experience for the cost, but faster confirmations would be a plus. The actual travel was very comfortable.

My travel plans might change. Is it easy to cancel a booking on 12go if something comes up?

B Beth W. 1 month ago

It depends on the ticket. Some are flexible, some are non-refundable. You gotta check the specific fare rules when you book.

W Wendy 1 month ago

I cancelled a bus ticket once, it was straightforward in the app. Got most of my money back but there was a cancellation fee. Read the fine print before you commit!

Trying to book a bus from Hanoi to Da Nang. Does 12go take regular US credit cards or do I need something special?

N Noor F. 2 months ago

Yep, my Visa card worked fine for a bus booking in Vietnam. They accept international cards.

N Nick W. 2 months ago

Used my Mastercard with no problems, it converted the currency automatically. Just make sure your bank doesn't charge crazy foreign transaction fees.

I saw something about an app-only offer. How do those work? Do I just download the app and the discount shows up?

L Laura Hughes 1 month ago

Yeah, sometimes they push out exclusive promo codes just for app users. You usually see a banner or get a notification within the app for it.

R Raj Carter 1 month ago

You'll need to enter the code at checkout. It's not automatic, but it's usually clear what the code is when they have one running.

Hey, wondering about booking train tickets through 12go for Thailand. Is it pretty reliable or should I just wait and get them at the station?

C Cleo Doyle 1 month ago

I've used them a bunch for trains in Thailand and never had an issue. It's way easier than trying to navigate the station, especially if you don't speak Thai.

E Emma S. 1 month ago

Yeah, I booked a sleeper from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and it worked great. Got the e-ticket on my phone. Plus, you can snag tickets for popular routes before they sell out, which is a huge plus.

Are the prices on 12go in USD? Or is it all local currency when I'm looking at different countries?

S Steve P. 1 month ago

You can usually select the currency you want to view prices in, I always set it to USD. But it'll probably convert to local currency at checkout or through your bank.

G Greg Reyes 1 month ago

I'm pretty sure it shows in whatever currency you pick in the settings, but the final charge on your card will be in their currency, so your bank does the conversion.

Is 12go actually legit for booking flights? Or is it mostly for trains and buses?

M Megan Ito 2 months ago

They do flights too, especially domestic ones within SEA. Used them for a flight in Vietnam and it was fine. But yeah, their main thing is definitely ground and ferry transport.

L Laura Walsh 2 months ago

I've used them for an internal flight in Thailand. It's legit, just make sure you compare prices with other flight aggregators too, sometimes you can find better deals elsewhere, sometimes 12go matches.

Anyone know if 12go is good for first-time users? Like, are there any deals or codes for new customers?

S Sophie V. 1 month ago

I think they sometimes have a small discount for first-timers, like a couple bucks off. Keep an eye out when you first hit their site or app.

A Andre 1 month ago

Not always, but sometimes there are referral codes floating around on travel blogs that can give you a small credit. It's usually like $2-5 though, don't expect a huge chunk off.

Thinking of doing the Bali fast boat with 12go. How long does it usually take to get the ticket confirmation after booking?

T Troy Nguyen 1 month ago

For my fast boat, it was pretty quick, like within an hour or two. They send it to your email.

N Nina H. 1 month ago

Mine took a bit longer, maybe half a day, but I booked really late at night my time. Still, got it way before I needed it.
